Henrik Nordbrandt - A Danish Poet Who Dares
May 17, 2008
The prize winning Danish poet Henrik Nordbrandt stands out as one of the few, who dares to use certain subjects, practically banned elsewhere by political correctnes.
In this fine poem “All the great men”, published by Gyldendal in 2007 (Buy the book here) humbly brought to an English audience by Danish Affairs, Nordbrandt satirizes on Jesus and Mohammed.
All the great men
All the great men
All the great men
All the great men begins with an A:
Adam, Abraham, Archimedes, Aristophanes
Alexander, Androchles, Adolf
Woody Allen and AndersFogh Rasmussen.
Those, who don´t
are either exceptions
that prove the ruleor crooks.
Jesus is a good example
on the firstMohammed on the second:
In the kingdom of camels
any two-legged could
claim to be a prophetWhat was Karl the twelfth
other than a drunk Swede? And Marx?
A new era
does not begin with an M.Thus hereby
it has once again been provedthat God planned it all
systematically
from the beginning.

Wilders Visits Denmark
May 17, 2008

EU President - Who cares?
May 8, 2008
Danish PM Anders Fogh Rasmussen is maybe not discrete enough to position himself as a coming EU President, according to The Economist.
A majority of the Danes thinks the Prime Minister is going for an international top job in either EU or NATO. But I don´t think The Economist has got a correct understanding of Danish politics, since the author believes that Danish voters would prioritize a prime ministers career or short term advantages higher than their national currency and sovereignty.
The man on the street really don´t care about who is on the throne in Brussels. And the “far right” (Danish People´s Party) has had an excellent cooperation with Anders Fogh Rasmussen since 2001. Why should they want him replaced? Only the parties on the far left (communists and socialists) has an interest in getting rid of a succesful right wing leader.
The Economist: When loose talk may cost a top job
Many pundits think he plans an autumn referendum, maybe as soon as September. The polls give him a chance. One from Greens Analyseinstitut in April had 55% of voters for joining the euro and only 38% against. Public opinion also favours scrapping the other opt-outs. Yet 16 years after their first rejection of the Maastricht treaty, there is a rump of opposition to the euro in Denmark, especially on the far left and far right. Oddly, this could work in the prime minister’s favour. Anti-Rasmussen voters may reason that a vote for the euro would enhance his candidacy for the EU job and hasten his departure. A case of yes euro, no prime minister?

Lisbon Treaty gets the rubber stamp
April 25, 2008
Yesterday the Danish parliament approved the Lisbon Treaty without much media attention or debate, with 90 votes in favour and 25 against. The approval was based on the conclusion of the Ministry of Justice, that the treaty did not force prime minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen´s government to hold a referendum which could have raised debate over the - from a national sovereignty perspective - controversial treaty.
Anders Fogh Rasmussen was not even present yesterday at the final debate before the ratification election, despite the fact that he actually was in the parliament building Christiansborg on that day. Boersen and Politiken [in Danish]
That´s how business-as-usual rubber stamp politics is carried out in the small province of Denmark.
It was Silvio Berlusconi who called Anders Fogh Rasmussen “the most handsome prime minister in Europe”.
In a political sense the approval of the Lisbon Treaty makes the potential president of the European Council almost beautiful.
The European Voice obviously thinks that Anders Fogh Rasmussen deserves a reward for saving the treaty from the threats of public debate, EU-scepticists, referendums and the extremisms of the nation state´s liberal democracy in general:
Denmark’s handsome prince of Europe?
Those who object to former UK prime minister Tony Blair as a potential first president of the European Council often argue that someone from a country which is not in the eurozone or the Schengen area of border-free travel could not be credible at the head of Europe. At first sight, insisting on these criteria would also seem to exclude Anders Fogh Rasmussen (pictured), the prime minister of Denmark – which is not only outside the eurozone, but also has opt-outs on defence policy, European citizenship and justice and home affairs. But this year could change that perception.
Fogh Rasmussen may be on the brink of removing as many as three of these opt-outs. He has hinted that a referendum on the opt-puts could be held this autumn, once the Lisbon treaty is ratified by the national parliament, the Folketing. If he manages this feat, the Danish prime minister would significantly boost his chances of becoming Council president.

Dane nominated Arab prize for apologizing
April 23, 2008
ABU DHABI. 27-year old Danish filmmaker Anders Boetter describes himself as an atheist. Despite his openly declared religious disbelief he travels to Abu Dhabi tomorrow - on a trip financed by Arab petro-dollars to receive a nomination for an Islamic culture prize.
The danish atheist´s achievement consists of creating the danish Facebook group ‘Undskyld Muhammed’ (’Sorry Mohammad’) which attracted 8.600 members - and attention from some Middle East cultural committee. The “Sorry Mohammad” group expresses sympathy towards the Islamic reactions to the Danish Mohammad drawings.
Assassination plans has been discovered against one of the drawers, Kurt Westergaard. And other cartoonists have also received death threats.
Ironic it may seem that an enlightened human being is being nominated for an Islamic culture prize. Even more ironic it is that Anders Boetter isn´t aware of the fact that he is just another useful idiot being manipulated and used by enemies of the Western world.
By the way - the antagonistic Facebook group ‘Ingen undskyldninger, til Muhammed’ (’No apologizing to Mohammad’) has got 11.000 members.

Increased Terror Threat Against Denmark
April 11, 2008
COPENHAGEN. The Danes seem to get used to terror threats as a part of everyday life. There are no visible indications here in Copenhagen, that anybody changes their daily routines because of fear of terror attacks from imbecile religious fanatics.
The recent reprint of the Danish Mohammad drawings is said to be the Islamic idiots´motivation.
COPENHAGEN, Denmark: The Danish intelligence service warned Thursday of an “aggravated” terror threat against Denmark since the reprinting in February of a cartoon depicting the Prophet Muhammad.
The Danish Security and Intelligence Service, or PET, said it has seen signs of an elevated threat from militant extremists, especially in North Africa, the Middle East, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Thursday’s assessment comes after the agency last month said the reprinting of a cartoon depicting the Prophet Muhammad in Danish newspapers had brought “negative attention” to Denmark in Muslim countries. Herald Tribune

Israeli Artist Duo doing favors for Arabs in Copenhagen
April 6, 2008
The Israeli gay artist duo Gil & Moti will during the next two months - as a part of the art project ‘Available for You’ - do favors for Arabs in Copenhagen - such as babysitting, cooking and gardening.
Gil and Moti are the only couple ever to be officially married on the Queen’s Balcony, Rotterdam. Only three times in a hundred years has this sacred venue ever been used.
Gil & Moti have lived their love in public for six years at the Gil & Moti Homegallery in Rotterdam. They have recreated their fable of love in venues throughout Europe.
In 2003, Gil & Moti decided to fall in love with an Arab. They staged their life-performance “Dating Gil & Moti” at the Haifa Museum. —To consternation and applause. Jackthepelican
Hopefully the artists have taken proper security precautions before meeting the neither exactly art-loving nor Israel-sympathetic or gay- appreciative Arab crowd.
Young gang torments nursery school
April 4, 2008
COPENHAGEN. Danish institutions targeted by Muslim kids aged 10-12 now include nursery schools.
From The Copenhagen Post via New English Review:
A group of ethnic minority kids has been terrorising a nursery school in the Nørrebro district of Copenhagen, throwing rocks at teachers, parents and even the young children at the facility.
Day care facility Midgård lies next to council estate Mjølnerparken, from which five or six 10 to 12-year-old boys have been making life for the nursery school’s personnel and patrons a living hell for the past two weeks.Although harassment from estate kids to a lesser degree has been tolerated by the facility’s staff and administration for some time, the incidents over the past couple weeks have now crossed the line, said Annette Zahle, Midgård’s administrative director. ‘We’re used to a lot but this is simply too egregious,’ Zahle told Nyhedsavisen newspaper. ‘We’re naturally deeply concerned, especially because these kids probably don’t realise their actions can have serious consequences if one of our children were hit in the head.’
A mother was recently struck in the leg by a projectile thrown by the young troublemakers, who also attempted to enter the building last week, threatening the staff with crowbars.
On Tuesday, a child at the nursery school was nearly struck by a large rock thrown by one of the youths.
‘The day care workers have started telling me they’re afraid to send the children out to the playground, which is a very disturbing development,’ said Zahle.
To understand the context of ‘ethnic minority kids’ assaulting a nursery school - it is worth to make a few things clear.
This is not “ordinary crime” here in Copenhagen. To assault a mother and her kid is totally pointless and cannot by any standard be characterized as a ‘normal’ destructive behaviour of bored teenagers or preteens. Things like these did not happen in Scandinavia just 10-15 years ago.
Nearly all street robberies are carried out by people with Islamic backgrounds. A recent example: The city of Elsinore with just 60.000 citizens has seen 19 street robberies carried out by underage kids - during only the first three months of 2008. BT [In Danish].
Today we are just facing the first consequences of Danish legislators´irresponsible multicultural policy during the last 30 years. And the general negative sentiments towards Islam and Arab culture among Europeans can hardly be understood isolated from the fact, that Islamic authorities and ‘activists’ in Europe are not only threatening our freedom of speech. Their kids are also doing their best to piss off a lot of ordinary citizens who are just doing their job and paying their tax bill.
What gives these youngsters a feeling of being untouchable is the fact, that they can´t be punished according to Danish legislation, since they are under 16 years old.
And the worst-case scenario if they are caught?
